Lahjaksi aaltojen alle is a dark drama about family and rituals set in a magical realism version of rural Finland in 1990's. Lake Vetehinen has
taken the soul of an unborn child and the family gathers to build an
image to be given below the waves in exchange for it.
The game plays out within a ritualistic structure that veawes the
magical narrative of building a symbol into everyday ritualistic
elements of cottage life like coffee as a ritual of gathering together
and sauna as a ritual of purification.
The child Vetehinen gives back will be like the image given in
exchange. The game centers participants actually building an abstract puppet-like image together.
